Korean Foreign Trade Law (3-3-0)
Korean Foreign Trade Law deals with the regulation of international trade and business. This area of law comprises the basic law that governs export-import trade categories, export-import procedures, business forms, export-import negotiation, and export-import orders. This course focuses on foreign substantive and procedural economic law.
International Business English ConversationⅠ,Ⅱ  (3-3-0)

This course is designed to help students improve their knowledge of Trade English and their Trade English Communication skills. The main element in this course is practice in foreign trade and communication with application to real-life situations so that students can have confidence in resolving problems and becoming proactive business leaders.

Foreign Trade Management (3-3-0)

This course deals with import-export customs clearance, international goods transport, marine insurance, export insurance, shipping documents, export-import payments, trade claims, and commercial arbitration based on Foreign Trade Practice.

Understanding Electronic Trade (3-3-0)

Understanding Electronic Trade covers international trade procedures for goods and services through the Internet. Foreign Trade Telecommunications have appeared in the 21st century as a new trade paradigm in international commerce. The advantages of Foreign Trade Telecommunications are that the trading process can be carried out on the Internet, an open type e-Biz international standard has been established, low price and stability are guaranteed, and the exporter interface has been realized as a core e-Transformation.

 

Understanding International Development Cooperation (3-3-0)

This course investigates the basic concepts and main components of international development cooperation and includes regional case studies to raise students’ understanding of international development cooperation and to enable them to conduct international development cooperation business, such as ODA, at basic level.

 

Letter of Credit (3-3-0)

This course deals with the basic concept of a letter of credit and problems relating to the use of a letter of credit in international transactions. The course also explains the Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits.

 

International Trade Policy (3-3-0)

Based on international trade policy, this course seeks for the pure theory of international trade’s practical and realistic meaning by analyzing the micro and macroeconomic effect of tariff, and non-tariff barrier which are the basic measure of trade policy

 

Multinational Corporate Research (3-3-0)

This course covers a multinational corporation’s development process, global strategy, and business type having achieved a high degree of globalized management based on theory and/or real site experience, thus helping individual aspirant corporate workers to understand these features through lectures given by persons from within and outside the corporation. The course also encourages students to improve their competitiveness in seeking a position as a global business manager by participating in a field trip to a multinational corporation and in overseas practical training.

 

Special Topics in International Trade and Business (3-3-0)

This course studies the new international trade environment created following the establishment of WTO at the beginning of 1995. Furthermore, as part of a globalization strategy, we will review a corporation’s international competitiveness consolidation plan.

International Business English Ⅰ,Ⅱ (3-3-0)

This course is designed to provide multiple practice in forming basic sentence structures  to improve students’ skills in international business English. The students will write letters in a style suitable for making international business contacts.

 

Field practice of International Trade (3-3-0)

This course helps students to gain experience in what they have learned from their international trade classes in real business situations and to acquire a cosmopolitan outlook so that they can become qualified businesspersons as well as to enhance their awareness and sense of the international corporate environment and the various aspects of international business.

Balance of Payments Theory (3-3-0)

This course is designed to provide an understanding of international trade theory and an overall view of the international economy including international trade. The main aspects comprise macroeconomic and monetary matters, introducing the basic concepts of balance of payments, decision-making on balance of payments problems, adjustments to the balance of payments, and the formulation of balance of payments policy.

Theory of International Commerce (3-3-0)

This course analyzes changes to the global market environment due to multilateral trade systems, regional trade agreements, and other important determinants of foreign trade policy. Also covered are new practical procedures administered by WTO, APEC, OECD, and IMF, including changes to policy and services as well as intellectual property rights, investment controls, and the environment regulating international commerce policy. This course aims to introduce the essentials of global commerce together with recent changes to corporate controls.

 

International Financial Management (3-3-0)

International Financial Management comprises the management of cash inflow and outflow arising from international trade. This subject deals with the basic concepts of international finance, exchange rate forecasting, international investment, international funding, and managing international funds in an institutional aspect, as well as applying these concepts to solve problems of financial management in the global environment.

 

Customs Law (3-3-0)

Customs law is the branch of law concerning the imposition and collection of duty in a reasonable way, aiming at the development of the national economy. In this course, students develop their knowledge of customs law and study the basic concepts of general customs law.

Global Marketing (3-3-0)

In the era of internationalization and globalization, global marketing has become one of the most important issues. This course deals with the concepts of global marketing and the relevant environment. On this basis, the course covers global marketing using the 4P mix strategy. Consideration is given not only to studying the important concepts and knowledge but also to examining real examples from the corporate world to improve students’ ability to make executive decisions.

 

Marine Insurance (3-3-0)

Based on the Marine Insurance Act (MIA), this course deals with principles of insurance, conclusion of insurance contracts, duty of security and notification, marine risk, marine losses, cargo clauses, marine insurance policies, and marine insurance.

 

Case Study of International Business Management (3-3-0)

This course studies the international business management of global corporation. Students will discuss and present about the problems caused from international business management, and enhance their ability as global executive personnel.

 

World Regional Economy (3-3-0)

Recently, the world economy has developed features of regionalism through FTAs and multilateralism through the activities of WTO. This course analyzes the relationship of FTA agreements and WTO agreements, so as to understand the changes to the world economy, as well as studying existing FTA agreements in Asia, Europe, and North and South America. Accordingly, the course demonstrates how global trade relates to corporations and recent changes in the world economy.

 

Trade and Business Negotiation (3-3-0)

Negotiation can resolve problems caused by disputes and different views following decision making and also provides solutions to conflicts of interest  in wage negotiations between labor and management, M&A negotiations between corporations, and trade negotiations between nations. This course studies the science and art of negotiation and explains commercial trade between corporations under WTO agreements and FTA agreements.

 

Global Human Resources Management (3-3-0)

As corporations become increasingly globalized and internationalized, the importance of systematic human resource management constantly increases. The aim of this course is to enhance students’ abilities in effective human resource management by analyzing the human resource management process and policy in businesses that have performed successfully in a changing global environment.

 

International Business Telecommunication (3-3-0)

This course will be given in English to improve students’ communicating and presenting skills for Students who majoring in international trade and business as well as prepare for employment in global business field.

 

Theory of Foreign Exchange (3-3-0)

This course takes a comprehensive view of the concepts associated with foreign exchange, including the basic concepts of foreign-exchange market, financial market, decisions and/or expectations regarding foreign exchange rate, the foreign exchange risk system, and the fundamental foreign exchange system.

 

International Comparative Management (3-3-0)

This course analyzes the differences in management systems and management methods,as between particular nations. This topic is explored from the point of view of culture and nationality, also considering the theoretical framework of the appropriate management methods.

 

Global Business Strategy (3-3-0)

This course helps students to understand the analysis of business theory and methodology, applying these concepts to global corporations. In this way, a strategic mind is developed and the students are prepared for corporate positions requiring skills in strategic global management and global marketing.

 

International Business Environment (3-3-0)

To provide an analytical view of global corporate management, this course presents the global corporate management strategy that is used in our country and, to help senior students find employment and a career path, the course makes use of visual and auditory materials. Seniors are invited to attend simulated employment interviews and group discussions.

International Transport (3-3-0)

International Transport is becoming one of the trends of cost reduction method in transportation part. In this course, we will focus on the international multimodal transport and container freight which settled as main transportation shape in international transport.

 

Theory of Foreign Direct Investment (3-3-0)

International Transport is a relevant factor in the trend to reduce total transportation costs. In this course, we will focus on international multimodal transport and container freight, which have become customary in general international transport.

Microeconomics (3-3-0)

This course deals with consumer choice theory, firm's production theory, and determination of prices when applying different market mechanisms. These basic concepts are generally utilized in the course of international trade.

Macroeconomics (3-3-0)

This course analyzes the relationships between Gross Domestic Product (GDP), Unemployment, Price, Currency Exchange Rate, Interest Rate, and the economic significance of the total number of variables. Based on these concepts, the course studies full employment and policies designed to achieve price stabilization. To apply and expand these concepts into a real economic model, it is necessary to consider basic supply and demand as well as the basic concept of national income. In particular, we need to examine and compare the classic school and the Keynesian school in order to develop the process of this concept from an objective viewpoint.

International Trade (3-3-0)

This course analyzes in terms of theory the causes, modes, and patterns ofinternational trade. To understand these concepts, the course deals with the theory of absolute production and the theory of absolute advantage, as well as investigating the neoclassical school’s Heckscher-Ohlin theory, Stolper-Samuelson Theorem, and Rybczynski Theorem. For modern trade theory, this course also studies the factor-specificity model, Technology Gap Theory, and Product Life Cycle Theory.

International Finance (3-3-0)

International Finance is one element of the international economy, which deals with the circumstances and forms of financial trade and analyzes the foreign exchange market, international capital movements, international monetary market, and international liquidity theory.

 

Foreign Trade Practice (3-3-0)

This course deals with the general details of foreign trade practice and provides information on the basic conditions of trade contracts, trade terms, and letters of credit.

 

International Business (3-3-0)

This course aims to develop students’ decision making and problem solving skills as needed by business executives in global corporations by studying the basic concepts of international business, a global corporation’s environment system, international business strategy, and a global corporation’s organizational management. This is achieved by analyzing visual and auditory materials and carrying out case studies.

East Asia Economy (3-3-0)

This course analyzes the regional economy of Asia in depth. To do this, we analyze the recent trends of East Asia’s total development model, relevant practical problems, and further predictions. In addition, the course will study, for China, Japan, and ASEAN countries, the main economic characteristics and progress and will analyze the relationship between these countries and our country.
